so, today i went to what just may be the last of the summer bbqs, and decided that this evening’s selection should be a farewell to summer. when i think of personal pies i think of pizza hut’s personal pan pizzas, but this time the personal pies are an homage to a delicious snapple flavor– raspberry peach! i was going to make blueberry pies, then peach blueberry, but then i remembered the delightful flavor combination of this fine beverage.
as you may have noticed, i have been baking without recipe quite a bit and this weekend was no exception. yesterday i made what started out as sesame noodles but ended up as some sort of scrumptious hybrid between sesame noodles and pad thai. i was asked for the recipe, to which i replied with a blank stare and tried to recall what i put in it, let alone how much. same goes for today… a pinch of this, a pinch of that, a tip i remembered from a recipe i once used, and a couple ideas from pictures i found on the internet, but no actual recipe to go off of nor recall. i am not sure if this is due to laziness (i generally spend a good deal of time rummaging through recipes and reviews before picking one) or a desire to be original with my baking and establish my own recipes… but either way i have luckily been successful so far. and again tonight! woohoo! i just had one of these lil’ guys with some ice cream, and while i cant say how they will be tomorrow, i can honestly say they are tremendous right out of the oven!!!
