for the past two days i have done almost nothing. no, i am not kidding, i really didn’t do anything of significance. with the exception of a trip to the grocery store and talking online, i did not leave the house or interact with any humans. i indulged in movie and tv show marathons, and since my house was clean and christmas decorations taken down from my mother coming over on friday (ah, mother-daughter cleaning bonding)… i took the opportunity to be lazy.

around 5 or 6pm, however, i realized that it was in fact sunday and i had not yet baked. i baked so much over the holidays and everyone is pretending to be on a diet, so i actually considered not baking. but then i remembered that i signed up my step father for my ‘cookie of the month’ club, which in reality did not exist until i was trying to think of what to add to his christmas gift. the man has just about everything and rather than buy another gift that he could easily buy himself i wanted to make him something. since i am not 5 a popsicle picture frame was out of the question, so i went with cookies. he loves cookies. SO- every month this year i will be mailing him a cookie of the month, the first batch going out tomorrow.

this month: oatmeal dark chocolate raisin cookies. for the recipe, it is the same as the oatmeal white chocolate cranberry, but swapping out the dried fruits and chocolates. while i’m at it, here is the new packaging logo that my friend jeremy crafted for me (my initials are SS):
